Hindi short film "KAJAL" on fighting bullying gets Overwhelming Response During its Screening in Mumbai
All-female crew of Salony Luthra & Pakhi Tyrewala impress critics and audiences
Mumbai: Award winning actress Salony Luthra and debutante director Paakhi Tyrewala's thought provoking Hindi short film 'Kajal' impressed industry luminaries, media critics and audiences as it was screened in Mumbai today.
'Kajal' that recently premiered at The New York Indian Film Fest has been getting the lead Salony Luthra praises for her character which has no dialgoues in the film.
Speaking at the screening Salony Luthra said, “I believe I am blessed and lucky to be a part of projects which are socially relevant and carry a strong message. The popularity of short films stems from the fact that a strong message can be conveyed effectively even in a shorter format while retaining the elements of storytelling. The response that we have got today is very encouraging and we are very grateful to everyone who is here and helped us along the way."
Director Pakhi Tyrewala added, "Salony’s noteworthy performance in the film finds its roots from theatre and from the fact that she is devoted to her craft. Salony lives the character that she plays without looking at the end result of a film. Kajal is a fine script and Salony has portrayed her role amazingly well.”
'Kajal's Mumbai screening was attended by Abbas Tyrewala, Vishal Bhardwaj, Rekha Bhardwaj, Madhu Chopra, Vikram Motwane and many others from the fraternity.
