The occasion was the launch of her song ‘Sakhi Ri’ from Vodka Diaries. The evening began with a preview of the trailer of the film to which the audiences were full of applauds followed by the most awaited moment of the evening which was the lauch of the song. Sakhi Ri is sung by and also features Rekha Bhardwaj and Ustad Rashid Khan. Its composed by ace music director Sandesh Shandilya and lyrics written by Alok Srivastav. For the first time we get to see the two amazing singers onscreen together. Rekha Bharadwaj also enchanted everyone with her melodius voice and people couldn’t just get enough of it.
“ I am a fan of Ustad Rashid Khan. My mornings start with his songs. I am very happy Rekha has sung with him,” said Vishal Bhardwaj who was a special guest at the event. Rekha Bhardwaj added “ I am very happy that Kushal gave me this opportunity to sing alongside Ustad Rashid Khan”
Director Kushal Srivastav said ”I am very thankful to God. Everything went as I had dreamt of. I am very happy with the way the film and the audiences are reacting to it.”
Vodka Diaries is a suspense thriller directed by Kushal Srivastav.The film stars Kay Kay Menon, Mandira Bedi, Raima Sen in the lead roles and is produced by Vishal Karkera, Vishal Raj, Kushal Srivastava, Atul Pupneja and Vivek Sudhindra Kulshrestha and is scheduled to release on 19 January.
Here’s the synopsis of the film: A series of murders all interlinked with the club Vodka Diaries has put ACP Ashwini Dixit on a trail. The killer has left a cryptic message behind at each murder scene which reads - “Park your demons in the dark.” What does it mean? A secret caller leads Dixit through the jigsaw puzzle, and Dixit has no choice but to join these pieces and find the killer before it is too late.
