Mumbai, July 7th, 2017: Talented singer, Paroma Dasgupta who has previously lent her voice to songs like Kaara Fankaara from OK Jaanu and the romantic track, Coffee Peetey Peety from Gabbar is Back recently sang the song of the ‘Darwaza Band’ campaign featuring Anushka Sharma as the brand ambassador. The campaign is a part of Narendra Modi’s pet project the Swachch Bharat Mission.
Commenting on the same singer, Paroma Dasgupta said, “When the composer Hanif Shaikh called me to sing the pre-shoot track, I was thrilled to know that Anushka Sharma was the brand ambassador as she's one of my favourite actors in Bollywood. The Darwaza Band campaign is the need of the hour urging people to defecate behind closed doors. I felt strongly for this cause and it was great to have Anushka supporting this initiative too.”
Having carved a strong niche for herself in the advertising space with ad jingles of Nestle, Bajaj, Frooti and Cinthol to name a few, Paroma rose to fame with the hard-hitting number Media se featured in Saheb, Biwi aur Gangster. The track was a strong take on the corrupt politicians of our country.
