Day 9 at the Kala Ghoda Festival was filled with music performances, dances, cooking demos & workshops & celebrities.







The gorgeous actor Sushant Singh Rajput was seen participating in the Kala Ghoda activities at Cross Maidan.

Baba Sehgal performed to a packed house at the Asiatic Library Steps. He entertained the audience with favourites like ‘Chicken Fried Rice’ & ‘Rihanna O Rihanna’.
Shilpa Rao acclaimed Bollywood playback singer entertained the crowds with her different styles and singing in different genres.
Painting with Charcoals a demonstration by the renowned charcoal artist Ajay De.

There were a host of interesting cooking demos at Cross Maidan. Discovering the Palate with India's answer to Nigella Lawson, Rakhee Vaswani the founder of Palate Culinary Studio. A Creative Masterclass by Chef Hemant Oberoi where participants could watch the maestro take them on a culinary journey, demonstrating the dishes that put him on the world map. The Wholesome Kitchen where Pooja Dhingra showed participants how to re-invent everyday ingredients to cook hearty meals and luscious desserts that can be consumed with all the pleasure and none of the associated guilt.

"COUNT YOUR BITE AND REDUCE YOUR WEIGHT’ by dentist Dr. Sandesh Mayekar with Ujjwala Raut & Miss India 2015 Aditi Arya was an entertaining and educative session on how chewing right helps your internal health and smiling right helps your external health.

Children had a packed day at the Kala Ghoda Festival. There was a Tinkle Children Workshop with mascots from the ever-popular comic Tinkle & several other activities to keep them busy through the day.

Dance performances by Enchanted Garden & Colour by Rhythmus Happy Feet, Egyptian Style of Belly Dance by White Peacock Dance Studio & Enaakshi Kotwal & Mulya Amulya by Yuvak Biradari set the Cross Maidan stage on fire.

There was an interesting heritage walk a tour of the Royal Alfred Sailor's Home (Maharashtra State Police Headquarters) that showed how the structure went from a cemetery to a sailor's home, to being the premise of the Council Hall and then the State Police headquarters.

A discussion Endgame: Military history and Strategic Affairs in India with Arjun Subramaniam, Amit Dasgupta and Sandeep Unnithan, moderated by Manjeet Kripalani focused on perspectives on national security, diplomacy and military history. Multipolis Mumbai: Researching the City with Amit Chaudhuri, Gyan Prakash and Emma Bird (UK) talked about transmuting the city into a mental rather than a physical landscape through research, archive and writing. Fearless Filmmakers Maria Finitzo (USA) and Megha Ramaswamy in conversation with Raja Sen.
