5th January 2018 in Mumbai- The inauguration of "Malad Fest" saw the presence of Mohit Kamboj, Ajaz Khan, Nyra Banerjee, Shweta Khanduri, Swati Rajput etc with a performance by Brijesh Shandilya (Bollywood Playback Singer) featuring Jibber Jabber.

Malad is all set to host its ten-day festival “Malad Festival” at the Goraswadi compound starting from 5th January 2018 to 14rd January 2018. The event which is being organized by Tajinder Singh Tiwana, a social worker will have several activities for the residents.
Malad Festival will have everything from music, theatre, film, dance, sport, food, a heritage to art and poetry. The festival will try to showcase the cultural wealth of the area also along with bringing together various communities. There will also be a special event for senior citizens, women as well as for children.
