Shah Rukh Khan has a tough competition in store, with none other than Ilayathalapathy Vijay!
It seems that Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan‘s movies are always riddled with clashes. His last film, Dilwale clashed against Ranveer Singh’s period saga, Bajirao Mastani, and Raees will take on Sultan this Eid. But it looks like the actor has more competition in store, with none other than Ilayathalapathy Vijay.
King Khan’s Fan is all set to release on April 15. But Vijay’s cop thriller Theri is also going to release just a day before, that is on April 14, to celebrate the Tamil new year. This definitely spells trouble for the Bollywood superstar in Tamil Nadu, as Vijay is nothing short of a god in the state. However, outside the state, King Khan hopefully won’t get that much competition.
Interestingly, this won’t be the first time that a Shah Rukh and Vijay movie is releasing simultaneously. In fact Ilayathalapathy’s Velayudham, Thuppakki, Thalaivaa and Kaththi clashed with SRK’s Ra one, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Chennai Express and Happy New Year, which makes this the fifth clash between the two stars!
Earlier on, Hollywood movie Jungle Book was about to clash with Fan and so was its release was preponed. But all that effort now seems in vain because Fan is still going to have to fight it out with Theri.
As if this clash is not enough, SRK’s next movie Raees is on a direct collision course with Salman Khan’s Sultan. However, since both Khans are now chums, a compromise is expected.
It will be interesting to see if a similar understanding can be forged between the Bollywood and Kollywood superstar too.
